Newport, RI

Happy Monday, friends! I realized that I never got around to sharing my pictures from my day trip to Newport with my family over Easter weekend. And since it’s almost the end of the semester and I have 17 papers due…what better time to blog?

We toured some mansions, did the cliff walk, and popped into little shops for salt water taffy and blown-glass ornaments. Newport is just THE cutest and I want to move there and have the best meal of my life all day, every day, forever.

I bring you…an afternoon in Newport!

So so gorgeous. I lived in Providence and still feel remiss for never visiting Newport. Oh well…guess I’ll just have to live there someday.

We ended up getting tickets to tour Rosecliff, the rest of the mansions we just looked at from the outside. I’d recommend picking one that looks good to you (Rosecliff was beautiful, and lots of people love the Breakers) and get tickets to tour the inside, then look at the rest from the cliff walk. If it’s a nice day I could happily spend a whole afternoon walking the cliff walk - it’s gorgeous!
